- Sports Fair and Sports Council
- Rob and Chris to attend Sports Council meeting Monday Week 1 (29th September) Maths building 1800-2100. Anyone else who wants to go can as well.
- The exec that can turn up for 0900 Tuesday Week 1 (30th September) to set up Sports Fair stall should. Most of the exec are fairly free throughout the day and should man the stand when available.
- Consider putting orienteering kites up in sports centre area for advertising purposes.
- Flyers with upcoming events and socials to be printed (Rob to print).

- Freshers social Thursday Week 1 (2nd October) in the Graduate@Cholo at 2000.
- Saturday Week 1 (4th October) head to Varsity at about 1300 after taster session finishes.
- Go see Quantum of Solace when it comes out (and Madagascar 2 as well perhaps).
- Canoe Club Ice skating social.

- Lecture on Thursday Week 1 (2nd October) at 1700 in Ramphal building Matt, Iain and Rob to attend.

- Many thanks to the 2007-2008 exec who have done a great job keeping the club running over the past year
- Exec elected for 2008-2009:
- President: Robert Buckby
- Treasurer: Chris Rye
- Secretary: Aaron Madeley
- Captain: Matthew Rooke
- Fixtures Secretary: Iain Embrey
- Webmonkey: Ben Saxby
- Review of the year
- Membership has been a problem over the year. Need ideas to attract new members for Sports Fair next year.
- Possible orienteering round union based at Sports Fair stand with sweets at controls?
- First taster session on first weekend seemed to be more effective in previous years than weekday evening in 2007.
- Have held strategy meeting with Warwick Sport and Sports Officer to try and gain more publicity, ran extra taster sessions, advertised to cross country and warwick mountains but little uptake.
- Despite membership problems UWOC has continued to attend same wide variety of events local and national and has organised its own event generating funding for the club
- Club Colours
- Mark Cummings and Shaun Emerson to be nominated for club colours Rob to organise before end of week 4
- Other Issues
- Event in 2009 set for January 18th Iain to discuss how we can use Elmdon Park or transfer to another location with OD

- President, Captain and Treasurer agreed the budget for 2008/2009
- Exec Elections
- Elections and AGM to be held on Monday Week 3 (5th May) at Robs house in Leamington. Will include official BBQ and social. Make sure that Aaron Beefburger Madeley, Chris Lamb Chop Rye, Dave Charcoal Fountain and Tom Umbrella cos its a wet day Kempton attend.
- Other Business
- End of term 2 social to consist of Hay Wood After Dark event followed by meal at The Farmhouse in Canley just turn up and then on to Varsity Score afterwards (those who want to go must book tickets) Ben to organise
- Terry Monnington contacted the club about the formation of an endurance club at Warwick. We will do what we can to help and members have shown an interest.

- Sunday Week 1 (7th October), Warwick City Race. Need to ask OD to put aside space for any newcomers, minibus transport or cars

- Sunday week 3 (21st October), Yvette baker trophy round in East Anglia is probably too far to drive to, and OD will not benefit enough from our presence, probably go to Coombe Park event instead but need to confirm Shaun to organise

- Thursday week 1 starting 5.15 on campus, exec meet slightly earlier, experienced members go on long course whilst newcomers taken on short course and training followed by long course if they choose

- Freshers social Thursday week 1 meeting in Graduate, followed by Electric City for anyone who wants to stay later (Rob going)
- Other socials to be organised as and when the exec feel necessary, suggest trips to cinema, bowling, pub jog, nights out at the union and in Leamington, also UWOC badminton session Monday 10am
- Finance
- Capital bid submitted to Warwick Sport for EMIT set for UWOC
- OD gives us £200 towards funds, which the university then doubles, £120 will go back to OD
- Sports Fair and Sports Council
- Mark and Shaun to attend Sports Council meeting Monday week 1
- The exec who can turn up for 9am Tuesday week 1 to set up Sports Fair stall should, with others taking over in the afternoon
- Kit Orders
- Considering ordering technical t-shirts, exec need to do further research
- Matt to look into ordering lightweight running jackets for the club
